Lytton, B.C. Hotspot of Canada

Updated: Oct 21, 2019

This labor day long weekend I headed up to Lytton B.C. to meet some of my boyfriend's family and to enjoy a chill weekend!

Lytton is also known as the hottest spot in Canada and quite contrary to being a "hotspot”, Lytton B.C. is a mere small town of a population of just 249. It's also where the Thompson River and Fraser River diverge, and you can visibly see them cross paths. #natureisawesome

Places to Visit on route to Lytton (and pretty much our entire first day of the trip)

1. Bridal Veil Falls

2. Othello Tunnels

3. Lader Creek Trestle Bridge*

3. Ladner Creek Trestle Bridge

*due to forgetting about this gem, we skipped it, but I'll show you lovely pictures anyways

On our second day, we drove around the area and found this really neat drop off where we parked our rental car.

Backstory:

We rented a car for the weekend, and on the drive up, we decided it'd be cool to get some shots of the car and make a video out of it. You can check out our videos here -->@sebastianjsmith, @chantel.nc

Even got some pictures of ourselves standing in the bushes ahhaha

We visited a popular recreation site, Blue Lake and flew the drone over water for the first time! Props to Seb for piloting that session so well 😄.

We then finished the night at the local Riverside Festival and watched fire dancers do their thang.

Day three was saying goodbye to the family (honestly everyone was so sweet! If you're reading this, thank you Grandma Sharon for filling our tummies so well!)

On our way back we made one last stop! Seb's grandpa has this really big restoration shop for trucks and I wanted to get some pictures of them, sadly my SD card decided to have a breakdown, but it's ok! I think I got some pretty decent pictures.

Lytton, you’ve got that charm going on that I hope everyone gets a chance to check out someday!
