Anyone that has ever been on a plane has thought about what they would do in an emergency situation. We at Travelista Life have conversations of this nature often and have addressed this specific one. I know it is a grim subject, but life is full of those, and you have to find ways to deal with them, so we developed inside jokes about our answers. I thought I would open up this question to you and let you in on our conversation.
Without further ado the question is:
Would you rather be a hero or a survivor if you ever had to decide in an emergency situation?
Sure, we would all love to be heroes but let’s be realistic, easier said than done. It all depends on the circumstances if you can be both or not, but if you couldn't, what would you do?
Being a hero seems like the right thing to do but wanting to live is a natural response, so wouldn't that also be the right thing to do? Helping people, and making the ultimate sacrifice for someone else, well that is the ultimate help you can offer a complete stranger/friend/family member.
If you are a survivor, you get yourself to safety to go on to carry on the rest of your life and share the story.
I like to compare it to the movie, The Titanic. Are you going to be Rose or Jack?
Here, at Travelista Life, we like to think of ourselves as SURVIVORS, a bouquet of Roses if you will. It sounds selfish, I know, but that is our honest answer. So maybe you wouldn't have to rely on us in an emergency situation like that, we hope to never have to be in such a situation, but of course we would stop to help you if it meant we all get out alive 😉.
